Baldy View Elementary School is located in an established neighborhood in Upland and sits just below a view of the San Gabriel mountains which gives us stunning views from our school site every day!  When entering our school, you will be greeted by our wooden Eagle statue that signifies our belief in all students SOARing academically and socially!  From there, we have over 28 classrooms staffed by highly qualified teachers who dedicate themselves to successful learning for all of their students each day.  We also have a Reading Lab, a school psychologist, an occupational therapist, a speech-language therapist, and other support staff who assist students. As you walk along the center of our school, you will come upon our beautifully landscaped garden that is home to a variety of fruit trees and vegetable planters. Our Farm-to-School Program invites students each week to plant, harvest, and care for our garden.

Baldy View is also home to the exclusive Dual Language Immersion Academy. This unique and enriching program promotes bilingualism and biliteracy in English and Spanish for both native English speakers and multilingual learners. Students benefit from the same rigorous, standards-based instruction as students in structured English Immersion programs. They will learn to read, write, and communicate effectively in Spanish and English while achieving high academic success and preparing for a global society.

Our classroom teachers design dynamic lessons to teach the Common Core and New Generation Science Standards.  Emphasis is placed on student engagement and collaborative critical thinking.  Many of our classrooms utilize small group reading and math instruction to support students' individual strengths and areas of need. Balanced with high academics, there also includes our Visual and Performing Arts Program in which students receive exposure to dance, theater, and the arts! After-school clubs include folklorico, chess, garden, crafts, robotics and much more!

Baldy View students enjoy three playgrounds- one for our TK and kindergarteners, one for our first through third graders, and one that our upper graders enjoy.  Our Eagles have soccer fields, basketball and handball courts, tetherball, and four square games, plus playground equipment to enjoy.  We are currently beginning the process of implementing Peace Paths, which is a three-step process to find common ground and resolve conflict. The goal is a healthy and restored relationship.

Baldy View has implemented school-wide Positive Behavior Intervention and Support, which focuses on teaching positive behavior and acknowledging students meeting behavior expectations.  Since implementing PBIS, we have seen an increase in students' appropriate behavioral choices both in and out of the classroom, and our school received Gold Recognition! We also support students' social-emotional well-being and have created a Wellness Room where students can go for a break, a small group or individual support session, and even enjoy a social story. The Wellness Room is staffed with a full-time support paraeducator and a variety of calming strategies and resources for all students to have access to.
